3D Printing Know How Transfer Prototyping
Maker's Factory Workshops

In our introductory program, we want to give you a solid grounding in the many possibilities within the Maker’s Factory. We want to work together in a hands-on format in four learning areas on the knowledge you need to realise your own project on this site.

3D data generation
3D printing
CNC milling
2D cutting and engraving

If you have never had any experience in these areas, this is the right course for you – but there will be eye-opening content for more experienced users as well. After completing the course, you will be able to operate the equipment you need independently – but don’t worry, we will still be here to answer any questions!

Note: The courses are not a prerequisite for working on your own. If you’re familiar with the kind of equipment you need to use just let us know, and you can get started after a brief introduction to the machine in question.

Learning field 2: 3D printing

In this learning module, we give you a thorough grounding in the various 3D printing technologies so you can turn your ideas into reality. Whether it’s your first sample from FDM printing or high-quality functional prototypes from the polyjet printer, we cover all the 3D printing technologies available at the Maker’s Factory and give you a glimpse into the wider world of possibilities available in the field of 3D printing.

modul a: fdm-3d-printing

From virtual model to the real thing: learn 3D printing!

In this course you will learn the basics of 3D printing and print a 3D model of your choice on one of the FDM 3D printers in the Maker’s Factory.

Workshop duration: 2 hours
Minimum age: 18 years
Language: course languages are German or English (depending on demand)
Cost: included in membership or day ticket
